팬스타스 (C/2017 K2) 혜성의 광도곡선.

Comet C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS) is expected to reach magnitude 6 at its brightest point in late December 2022 
through early January 2023. However, the brightness evolution is slower than originally expected. 
Currently, the maximum  brightness is expected to be around magnitude 8. It remains to be seen how the comet's 
brightness will change. The comet may brighten to magnitude 8 in December 2022 but will only be visible 
at that time to observers in the Southern Hemisphere. The comet will not be visible in the Northern Hemisphere 
from the Fall of 2022 until the late Summer of 2023. 
    
올해 초에 팬스타스 (C/2017 K2) 혜성은 2022년 12월 말부터 2023년 1월 초 사이에 맨눈으로 관측 가능한 밝기인 6등급에 
도달할 것으로 예상하였습니다. 하지만, 혜성의 밝기 진화는 원래 예상보다 느립니다. 지금은 최대 밝기가 8등급 정도로 
예상하고 있습니다. 이 혜성의 밝기가 어떻게 변할지는 계속 지켜봐야 할 것 같습니다. 혜성은 2022년 12월에 8등급으로 
밝아질 수 있지만 그 당시에는 남반구의 관측자들에게만 보일 것입니다. 혜성은 2022년 가을부터 2023년 늦여름까지 
북반구에서는 볼 수 없습니다.
