The comet C/2023 A3 was spotted this month by NASA's STEREO-A spacecraft apparently in good health on the other side of the sun. It continues to brighten steadily, and is now up to magnitude 7. STEREO-A's image is reassurance that the comet has not broken apart despite predictions to the contrary. There are zero signs that the nucleus is disintegrating. If the comet C/2023 A3 can hold itself together just a little longer, it will become a naked-eye object in late September and October. The comet will re-emerge from sunlight in mid-September, becoming visible to telescopes in the southern hemisphere. And the comet will be visible again in the northern hemisphere in late September.

C/2023 A3 혜성은 이번 달에 NASA의 STEREO-A 우주망원경이 태양 반대편에서 건강한 상태로 발견했습니다. 혜성은 꾸준히 밝아지고 있으며, 지금은 7등급에 도달했습니다. STEREO-A의 사진은 붕괴 예측과 달리 혜성이 분해되지 않았다는 것을 확신시켜줍니다. 핵이 붕괴되고 있다는 징후는 전혀 없습니다.
